This once traditional Alpharetta home has been transformed into a modern, open space that’s both functional and beautiful.
We often get to work alongside talented interior designers that elevate the newly created space with their knack for detail. On this Alpharetta home we were able to partner with Chaz Easterly, Owner of Linen & Flax in Roswell (you should check it out).
Updating the fireplace with white brick, shiplap and a rustic wood mantle gives the space new life.
Prior to the renovations, the staircase pictured here was enclosed, making the room feel smaller. Tearing out the drywall and installing a new banister and iron spindles allow the sight lines of the room to extend into the keeping room on the other side.
The custom built, ceiling height, two tone cabinets, white quartz countertops, and slate gray subway tile make for the perfect foundation for this cottage like kitchen. The detail in the island structure and sleek fixtures bring it all together for one cohesive space.
This space is rounded out with barn door entry into the walk in pantry that sits next to the perfect drink station.
Thanks to Kelley Klein Photography for the great pictures.
We often have the opportunity to work along side great designers to create beautiful spaces. In this Roswell home we were more than fortunate to work alongside Anisa Darnell and man has she done an amazing job designing a space that’s not only gorgeous but functional.
The first words that come to mind when you walk into this home is warm and inviting.
Don’t you agree?
This open floor plan allows you to take it all in at once, but it’s so easy to get lost in the details that make this home unique: the rough sawn beams, planked walls, hardwoods and of coarse, every decorative piece hand selected for this space.
From the planked backsplash, open shelving, white shaker cabinets, to the custom vent hood and perfect fixtures… this kitchen will take your breath away.
Before you see the “before” pictures…. here are a couple pictures of the living space that show off those rustic beams and planked walls.
Prepare to be shocked by the amazing transformation of the this space….
Ah yes, check out this power room. Simply perfect.
Thanks for the amazing pictures Kelley Klein Photography!
At this beautiful Roswell home we focused mainly on renovating the kitchen and master bathroom. There were already some great elements to the spaces. Great “bones” & features are always helpful to create around.
In the bathroom, you can see how the tile, countertops, and paint compliment the leaded glass window above the tub. The sleek tub, beautiful marble like tile in the shower and light fixture work together to create an elegant and modern feel.
This kitchen provides plenty of storage and is simply beautiful. Subway tile to the ceiling. Grey island cabinetry and white cabinetry in the remainder of the kitchen tie in perfectly with the doors and trim. One cohesive space with many unique features.
Thanks again to Jennifer Kesler Photography for the great pics.
Can you believe these before pictures…. what a transformation!
The key words here are white and bright. This beautiful kitchen is the epitome of simple and fresh.
You might have caught these clients purchasing this Roswell ranch while watching “House Hunters” on HGTV. If you did, the one thing you didn’t see was the incredible transformation. Here you have it!
Before the renovation, this kitchen was closed in by a wall between the kitchen and living room. It also only had one window and a lot of cabinetry.
When it comes to kitchens, nothing beats windows to bring in some natural light and maybe even provide a nice view. So we put in more windows and open shelving.
These amazing clients weren’t just great to work with, they were pretty crafty themselves. The barn door they had built and installed fits right in. It’s the perfect way to conceal the microwave and pantry. Finding creative spaces for your microwave gives way for a beautiful vent hood in a modern kitchen and keeps it off your much needed counter space.
Thank you to Jennifer Kesler photography for these great pics!
Welcome the newest member of the Renew Properties team….Matt Gross.
Matt is the perfect addition to our team. He has years of experience that will help us in creating extraordinary spaces, through enjoyable experiences. You will love working with him! We do.
I am excited to be joining the Renew Team this summer.
I grew up in Hendersonville, NC and attended Catawba College in Salisbury, NC where I was the placekicker for the football team. I had the privilege of playing all four years and went on to be an All-American for two of those years. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. I have been married to my wife Megan for 11 years and we have been blessed with 3 wonderful little girls. I have 5 years of experience building in the high end, residential market. My family recently moved into our new house, in which we share 4 acres with our family.
To say that we enjoyed building this modern day farmhouse would be an understatement. We’re beyond grateful for all the great feedback and wanted to share some more pictures of the finished product.
There are so many nooks and details that make this house picturesque, that picking just a few to share was no easy task. We hope you enjoy the inside (and outside) scoop;).
Farmhouse Exterior: Siding, metal roofing, farmhouse light fixtures, beautiful decks, grill station.
Kitchen: Shaker Cabinets, top of line appliances, farmhouse sink, rolling ladder and sit-in/wood top island.
Interior 1st level:
Living Room- Open floor plan, planked walls, bricked fireplace
Open Foyer & Mudroom/Side Entrance
Dining Room– reclaimed wood ceilings, oversized chandelier
Full Bath– subway tiles, wood countertops
Office/Guest Room- Barn door entrance
On the second floor you’ll find the master bedroom & bathroom (2 bedrooms with connecting Jack-n-Jill bathroom and a 4th bedroom with an onsweet as well). The pictures below feature the master bathroom.
Surprise! On the 3rd floor we were able to to finish the attic space to include bonus living space, an extra room and bathroom. We were also able to leave some unfinished storage space.
We hope you enjoyed the tour. Being able to custom build this home has been a privilege. Our prayer over the home has been that it would be a place where many memories are made.
This bright and cozy space is just the beginning!!! You really couldn’t ask for more than a great family to work with, an amazing design team (Milk & Honey Homes), and the perfect project. Don’t just take our word for it, check out the February issue of Better Homes & Gardens for more.
You can’t even imagine sorting through all the amazing pictures that showcase this beautiful home! Somehow we’ve narrowed them down. Here are some of details that make this house perfect.
Subway tiles to the top of the cabinets. THE FIXTURES!!!
Unique tiled hood range.
Farm Sink. Hidden dishwasher (to the right). Perfectly simple hardware.

….And this MASTER BATHROOM!!!!

What a cool indoor/ outdoor entertaining space!!! This barn was a blast to work on. Not only was the team (Homeowners & Designer, Amy Ferrer) AMAZING, the concept was fantastic.
From Rustic beams and cabinetry, to metal sheeted walls and a glass garage door, this turned out to be a project for the books.
The details truly brought it all together.
The Light Fixtures.
The planking, the fixtures, the cabinets, the faucet, sets the tone for the perfect SPACE!!!
Meet the Team
Hello blog world!
We are so excited to be launching our blog. This year our team has had the privilege of working with amazing clients and been able to create extraordinary spaces.
We’d love to share some of those with you and pass along some helpful tips.
Since you’ll probably hear from our entire team, what a better time than our first post to meet the dynamic trio!!!
I’ve been building for 12 years. I graduated form Auburn University, then worked with a production builder for a few years. In 2006, my wife (& high school sweetheart) Becca and I founded Renew Properties. We have 4 fun children, and live in a fully restored house that had previously burnt in a fire.
This summer marks my 1st year with Renew Properties. I grew up in Johns Creek. I graduated with my Bachelors in Business’s Administration at Samford University and attended graduate school at Auburn University for a Masters in Building Construction.
After 3 years in commercial construction and real estate, I was blessed to join the Renew team as the on-site Superintendent. I enjoy working for a company that approaches every job with integrity and hard work and building a relationship with clients through our projects.
Hi!!! I’m the always heard but barely seen member of the team;)- our Office Manager… or as I like to call myself COO;). I was born and raised in Miami, FL. After graduating with my Bachelor’s from the University of Central Florida (GA fans might know us from our victory against them in the Liberty Bowl), I married my childhood best friend and high school sweetheart, Kyle. God opened doors for us to move to Georgia and we walked right through them. We now have 2 spunky girls that keep us on our toes!
Working as part of this incredible team for almost 2 1/2 years has made GA feel even more like home.
& THAT’S REALLY US….LOL
